Jules Patrick Blanchard Frenchy Manchester Age 94 of Manchester, died at his home Wednesday April 12th. He was born on October 29, 1911 in Charny, Quebec Canada the son of Victor and Ella (Lagasse) Blanchard. He was raised in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec Canada. An avid hockey player, he had played for the Canadian Hockey Farm League. He had served in the Canadian Army Medical Corps. During WWII. Jules and his wife Clemence moved from Canada to Manchester in 1946, and became naturalized U.S. Citizens a short time later. He worked as a garment cutter all of his life, and had worked in the Manchester and Randolph, VT areas. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandsons, whom he referred to as his bodyguards. He was also very proud of his great-grandchildren, and especially enjoyed listening to them play the violin. He liked to take trips to the casinos in CT. He had a passion for life, and loved music and dance. He had a great sense of humor, and loved to tell jokes. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Clemence (Brouillard) Blanchard of Manchester. Daughter, Carol F. Hebert of Manchester. In His Life: Jules is also survived by his son-in-law Richard Hebert of Manchester. Grandsons; Michael C. Hebert and Dennis T. Hebert, both of Manchester. Great-grandson, Joshua Hebert and Great-granddaughter Cali Hebert, both of Manchester. Nephew, Andre Daigle of Douville, Quebec Canada. There are no calling hours. A memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
