Julia (Tyler) Ardini, age 84, of Manchester, NH died on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at her home. She was born in Pawcatuck, CT on July 30, 1924, the daughter of Henry and Eliza (VanMierenhoucht) Tyler. She was the wife of the late Walter B. Ardini, Gerald Landry and Raymond O. Boudreau.
Julia was a long time resident of Pawtucket, RI. She attended the St. Jean the Baptist School. She was employed as a seamstress at the Health Tex Factory for over 20 years.
She moved to Manchester over 20 years ago. An avid bowler, she belonged to leagues at the Lakeside Lanes. She continued her love of sewing and became an accomplished seamstress, she loved to knit and crochet. Julia is remembered for her love of animals.
Julia was a long time Girl Scout while living in Pawtucket, RI. Her involvement with scouting continued with her late husband Walter Ardini, an active Boy Scout for over 60 years. She was involved with Boy Scouts of America for many years, especially Camp Carpenter in Manchester, NH.
She is survived by two daughters: Kathleen Dutra of Manchester, NH; Paulette Stewart of Pawtucket, RI; 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She also leaves 6 step children: Patricia Hayes, Richard Ardini, Ellen Biebesheimer, Betty Walsh, Pauline Mann, Robert Ardini; 10 step grandchildren.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at 5:00pm in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm. Burial will be in the Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at 9:30AM.
