Julia A. Cean, 70, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2022 surrounded by her family. She is the loving wife of Glenn Cean with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.
She was born on February 29, 1952 to the late Kenneth and Viola (Sprague) Monica in Watertown, New York. She owned and operated The Artistic School of Cosmetology and The Millenium Salon and Spa.
Julia was the embodiment of a strong woman and mother. Everyone called her “mom”, because she treated everyone like family. She exemplified loyalty, honesty, and passion. She loved her family with every fiber of her being. She enjoyed a trip to the casino, cooking, and teaching her students.
Along with her husband Glenn, Julia leaves behind her daughters; Shannon St. Onge and her husband Kenneth of Manchester, and Shantel Frost and her significant other Michael Miller of Manchester, grandchildren; Peter, Bennett, and Emily St. Onge and Luca Frost, and brothers; Charles Monica of NY and Daniel Monica of Manchester.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd from 6pm-8pm at The Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, August 4th at 11:30am in the funeral home. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. A celebration of Julie’s life will follow at Shantel’s home.
