JULIET “JUDY” (GODBOUT) O’BRIEN

LACONIA, NH – Juliet ”Judy” (Godbout) O’Brien, age 95, passed away on December 8, 2010 at the St. Francis Health Center, where she resided for the past 9 years.

Judy was born in Lincoln, NH, a daughter to Peter and Lea (Lambert) Godbout, on August 8, 1915. She spent most of her life in Lincoln, attending schools there and after graduating from High School was an employee of the Franconia Paper Company for 33 years as a payroll clerk. She later worked at the Plymouth Guarantee Savings Bank in Campton as a teller for 9 years.

She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Donald O’Brien, who died December 13, 1982. Judy was the last to survive 4 brothers, Ernest, Joseph, Romeo, and Roland Godbout, all formerly of Lincoln, and 2 sisters, Sylvina Cloutier of Lincoln and Adella Prescott of Manchester. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

SERVICES – At her request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lincoln, NH on Friday, December 17, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. John MacKenzie as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Woodstock Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Francis Health Center, 406 Court St., Laconia, NH 03246 or the St. Joseph Catholic Church, P. O. Box 128, Lincoln, NH 03251.
