Juliette Goulet, 79, of Manchester died December 18, 2008 at Villa Crest in Manchester.
She was born on July 1, 1929 in Nashua, NH the daughter of the late Martin E. and Eva R. (Boisvert) Legare. Julie was a native daughter of Nashua graduating from Nashua High School with the class of 1948. She took insurance correspondence courses with the ultimate goal of becoming a licensed insurance broker specializing in personal lines.
After graduating from Nashua High School, in the early 1950âs she worked for Andrews Cobleigh Insurance Agency as a customer service representative (CSR). Later in life, Julie was employed as a CSR at Chase and Durand Insurance Agency. At Kendall Insurance (formerly Burpee, Griffin, Perkins Agency) Julie also specialized in personal lines as a CSR until her retirement in 1985.
Julie was the first women president of the Manchester Jaycettes. Also, she was the first female lector at St. Edmondâs Church. In addition, she was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Edmondâs Church where Julie and her husband were communicants. She was a communicant of Parish of the Transfiguration, formerly St. Edmondâs Church.
During her retirement, she started the St. Edmond Prayer Line, which is still in existence today. She also was involved in the St. Edmond Bereavement Ministry. Julie was a member of the Pastoral Care at Catholic Medical Center where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. In addition, as a member of the Caregivers Association, Julie visited the elderly and was active in fund raising. Also, Julie was an avid duplicate bridge player and an active member of the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League).
Most recently, Julie was honored to be a part of the Villa Crest family. Her family will be forever grateful for the love and care they provided for her.
She was married to J. Paul Goulet of Manchester, NH for forty eight years before he died in 2005.
She is survived by her four children, Gerry Goulet of Boston, MA, David Goulet of Epsom, NH, Pamela Earnest of Ocala, FL and Marie Lachance of Viera, FL; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Sunday from 1-3PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 AM at the Parish of the Transfiguration, Manchester. Burial will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester.
