Manchester â Juliette D. Hemond, 89, died August 8, 2014 at Hackett Hill Healthcare Center.
She was born on June 20, 1925 in Manchester the daughter of the late Anatole and Lucinda (Lamy) Caron. She was raised and educated in Manchester.
Juliette was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking and baking for her family and spending as much time as she could with them. Juliette also enjoyed knitting.
A hard working woman, Juliette retired from her various outside the home jobs just ten years ago.
Julie was instrumental in the Blessed Sacrament Shawl Ministry and supported the mercy meal program there.
Surviving family members include her 3 daughters, Priscilla Caza and her husband David of Hooksett, Claudette Hemond of Manchester and Muriel Gelinas and her husband Alan of Laconia and her son, Maurice Hemond and his wife Marie of Goffstown, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Rita Vezina of Manchester, Madeleine Blake of Amherst and Pauline Beaudion of California and many niece, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel Hemond who died January 25, 1982 and daughter, Pauline Hemond.
Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Sunday from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, Elm St, Manchester. Burial will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester.
