June C. Ranfos

June C. Ranfos, 72, of 290 Sheffield Road, Manchester, died suddenly June 19, 2001, in Eastern Maine Medical Hospital, Bangor, Maine while vacationing in Bar Harbor. She was born in Manchester on August 18, 1928, the daughter of John A. and Gertrude O. (Wilson) Johnson and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. June enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. She was a past member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 54. June was the widow of Victor J. Ranfos, Sr., who died in April of 2001. Family members include four sons, Victor J. Ranfos, Jr. Of Allenstown, Tony Ranfos of Manchester, Charles A. Ranfos of Candia and Glenn J. Ranfos of Hooksett, nine grandchildren, four great grandchidren, a brother Charles F. Johnson of Deerfield, NH, two sisters, Eleanor Gilibert and Shirley Cates, both of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A service will be in the funeral home chapel Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Merrimack Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
