Kamla Kanhai Singh (Lochan) of San Fernando Trinidad and Tobago, 72, crossed over peacefully on Thursday, March 19th 2026, surrounded by her family at her home in Londonderry New Hampshire.

Kamla was born on the twenty fifth day of February 1954 in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago to Ramkaran Emrit and Sanchari Ramkaran.

Kamla was Married to Morris Kanhai Singh for 41 years. They made their home in Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago and later migrated to Londonderry New Hampshire before Morris passed away in 2019.

Kamla was a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Home Maker and Friend. She was a Devoted Christian that walked in the way that our lord asked her to walk and taught her children to walk in those said ways. To those close to her, she will be remembered as a beautiful soul that was a joy to be around and who was willing to give freely of herself. As some would say she was a “Light in the darkness”. Kamla loved to Cook, Dance and Sing and is known to “pull” the people close to her to dance and sing along with her. She was also willing to teach anyone how to cook the exquisite dishes of her country if they were willing to learn.

Kamla is survived by her three children, Lyndell Kanhai Singh and Wife Millie Kanhai Singh of Manchester New Hampshire, Marisa Adelle Marie Rogers (Marie) and Husband Alan Rogers of Merrimack New Hampshire and Kerwin Kanhai Singh of Londonderry New Hampshire; Her Sister Samdaye Ramdial of Canada and her Nine Grand Children, Trinity Talia Kanhai Singh, Lyndell Morris Kanhai Singh , Samuel Gilot, Shauri Gilot, Misael Gilot, Pheonix Mc Donald, Steven Kanhai Singh, Jayden Kanhai Singh and Anthony Celantano.

Calling hours for Kamla will be held on Wednesday, March 25 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with a service beginning at 11:30 AM, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH 03104. She will be laid to rest immediately afterwards at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester, NH.
