Manchester—Karen L. MacLeod, 33, of Manchester, NH passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on May 18, 2014. She was the daughter of James R. MacLeod and Mary E. (Ouellette) MacLeod and was raised and educated in Manchester.
Karen loved and taught ballroom dancing for several years and also was passionate about music, sports, cooking and especially animals. At the time of her passing, she was employed at Hampton Inn & Suites in Bedford, NH in the hospitality industry. Karen will always be remembered as a compassionate woman with a huge heart; she was a "people-person" and will be missed by many.
Karen is survived by her parents James R. MacLeod of Bonita Springs, Florida and her mother Mary E. (Ouellette) Macleod of Manchester, NH. She also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends. Karen is predeceased by her grandparents, Gedeon and Irene Ouellette and John and Ethel MacLeod.
A Life Celebration will be held Friday May 23th at Phaneuf Funeral Home at 243 Hanover Street from 5-8 pm with a memorial service starting at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Karen's loving memory to any Animal Shelter of your choice.
