KATHERINE EMMONS

LITTLETON, NH -- Katherine Emmons, 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Lafayette Center IN Franconia, NH.

Katherine was born on April 24, 1920, the daughter of Milton and Katherine Mooney in Littleton, NH.

Katherine who was nicknamed Did was employed as a milk truck driver for the Richardson Farm in Littleton, NH during World War II. Her route encompassed Littleton, NH, Dalton, NH, Lunenburg, VT and Gilman, VT. She was also a manager and cook at Littleton High School for many years.

Katherine enjoyed golfing, reading and gardening. She loved animals, especially her cats. At her home she loved to sit on her porch and watch the birds and wildlife.

She is survived by her sister, Irene Little and her husband, Richard Little of Lafayette Center in Franconia, NH; her brother-in-law, Laurence (Skip) Spreadbury of Littleton, NH; niece Debbie Boynton and husband, Edward C. Boynton of Littleton, NH, niece Diane McFarland and husband, Gary McFarland of Bethlehem, NH, and nephew David Spreadbury of Benton, NH; as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert Emmons, son, Hollis Emmons, parents Milton and Katherine Mooney, her brothers Everett Mooney, Hollis (Tom) Mooney and her sister, Thelma (Mooney) Spreadbury.

SERVICES -- Graveside services will be held on April 29, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at the Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Marcel Martel as celebrant.
