Katherine Hughes

Katherine “Kitty” (Kelley) Hughes, 82 of Manchester, died January 3, 2006 at the Elliot Hospital. She was born in Manchester on September 4, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Thompson) Kelley and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She attended Manchester schools and worked for Pandora Industries for many years. She owned and operated Starlite School of Ballroom Dance and loved to dance herself and teach others. Family members include her husband of 64 years, Donald Hughes, Sr., two sons, David Hughes of MD and Donald Hughes, Jr., of Hooksett; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00.
