Kathleen "Kitty" M. Davis

Kathleen "Kitty" M. Davis, 83, of Concord died January 9, 2014 at the Concord Hospital in Concord.

She was born on December 17, 1930 in Concord the daughter of the late John E. and Helen (MacMillan) Quimby. She was raised and educated in Concord.

Mrs. Davis worked at National Fence and Granite and later for the State of NH.

She enjoyed summers at Newfound Lake for the past 60 years. She was an excellent swimmer and especially enjoyed swimming on hot summer nights under the stars. She and her husband Charlie enjoyed winters in Florida walking the beach and looking for special shells and sea glass.

Kitty was an avid sports fan enjoying the all Boston sports including NE Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox, and Celtics. She belonged to "Women in Construction". She also enjoyed craft groups. As a mother of four she enjoyed many laughs. Kitty was interested in her Irish and Scottish ancestry and was able to visit extended family members living in Prince Edward Island, Canada .

She loved her dog Jenny.

Family members include her husband of 61 years, Charles G. Davis of Concord;
Children Charles G. Davis, Jr., of Concord, NH. John E. Davis of Concord, NH. Daughter Jonna and husband John Prendiville of Loudon, NH; Grandchildren Melissa and husband Kevin Ducharme of Chichester, NH. Michael R. Matthews of Concord, NH. Brett M. Davis of Portsmouth NH and Christian Davis of Pembroke, NH and her sibling George Whitlock of Tilton, NH.

She was predeceased by her son Michael C. Davis in 1992.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Concord on Tuesday at 1:00PM. Donations in her memory can be made to Concord SPCA.
