Kathleen "Kathy" Mathews, 59, of Hooksett, NH died July 17, 2009 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack following a battle with cancer. She was born on June 16, 1950 in Manchester, NH the daughter of Lawrence H. and Mary (Cormier) Mathews. She was raised in Manchester and graduated from Central High School in 1968. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Most recently she worked as a quality control specialist at New England Documents. Previously she had worked at Osram Sylvania as a quality control specialist for 37 years before retiring. She was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Sylvania. Kathy enjoyed traveling and taking rides to the seacoast. She was a Disney enthusiast, visiting many times over the past twenty years, while she was living with her sister and her husband. Kathy also enjoyed going to the Majestic Theatre. Frequently she would go with her friends and family. She was an easy going person and stayed a kid at heart who enjoyed every moment in life. In Her Life: She is survived by her sister and brother in-law Pat and Jim Campbell of Hooksett and her 4 nephews, Shawn Crossman, Ryan Crossman, Jeffrey Campbell and Justin Campbell, grandniece, Mia Campbell, grandnephew, Colin Campbell. Her Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, corner of Union St, Manchester on Wednesday from 11:00Am to 12:00PM with a Memorial Service to follow at Noon in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers donations in Kathy's name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr, #110, Bedford, NH 03110 or the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, New Hampshire 03756.
