Kenneth Robert Bishop, 93, died peacefully July 5th, 2025 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. He was born on January 18th, 1932 in Weymouth, MA, the son of Francis P. Bishop and Charlotte M. Corey.
Ken is survived by his wife and companion of over 52 years, Cindy (Neff); their daughter, Sandra (Bryan) Menard and grandchildren Alyssa and Mason of Southwick, MA; his children Mark Bishop, Julie (James) Moncrief, Jeff Bishop and granddaughter Jessie, all of the Orlando, FL area. He is also survived by loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews of the New England and Pittsburgh, PA areas. He is predeceased by his brothers, Frank and Bob, his nephew, Keith, and will meet up again with past pets Ellie, Emma, Dusty, Ginger, and Queenie, as well as his mother-in-law Martha W. Neff who survived him by only two days.
Ken was an avid reader, sports car owner, car enthusiast and golfer. He was a runner, walker, and ‘10-speed biker’ almost every day of his last 50 years. He competitively participated in high hurdles and pole vault in high school, at Boston University, and for the Air Force, becoming Eastern Intercollegiate Conference Pole Vault Champion in 1953.
Ken received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1953 from Boston University. Prior to his retirement, he spent his career as a marketing manager and director for Westinghouse, Rockwell, Rust Engineering, and Allis-Chalmers. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Visitation for Ken will be held on Thursday, July 17th at 10 am with a funeral service beginning at 11am at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Manchester, NH 03102. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wisconsin at https://www.cdceportal.va.gov/
