Kenneth P. Clark

Kenneth Paul Clark, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed peacefully on March 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family who held his hands, comforted him, and prayed with him as he made his journey home to heaven. He fought bravely to remain with those he loved, and now rests in peace, reunited with many cherished family members who went before him.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 15, 1952, to Irvin A. Clark Sr. and Doneta D. Clark, Ken grew up in both Iowa and New Hampshire alongside his brother, Irvin “Skip” Clark Jr. He attended Holy Family Catholic School in Iowa, Rundlett Junior High School in New Hampshire, and Concord High School before proudly joining the United States Army with his best friend, Richard Desmarais.

Ken served his country with honor for eight years, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSG). His service took him across the world from Fort Riley, Kansas to Da Nang, Vietnam; Germany; Japan; Thailand; and Seoul, Korea—where he met the love of his life, Kyong Clark. They shared 49 beautiful years of marriage built on love, laughter, and an unbreakable bond.

Together, they raised two daughters: Veronica Clark (spouse Christopher Clark) and Kathy Chapman (spouse Brian Chapman), who were his pride and joy. Ken was a devoted grandfather to Felicia Burleigh, Shane Chase, Tiana Gauntt, and Maddux Chapman, and a proud great-grandfather to Kailyn Cochran, Harmony Wilkins, and Oaklee Payson. His love also extended to his brother Irvin “Skip” Clark Jr., nephew Tucker Clark-Manseau (spouse Ryan Clark-Manseau), niece Sadie Clark, and his cousin Richard Clark and family, with whom he loved catching up and reminiscing.

Ken loved the outdoors—hunting with his father and brother, fishing (especially at his favorite spot, Turtle Pond), and water skiing in his younger years. A true American car enthusiast, he took great pride in his Plymouth Road Runner and loved riding motorcycles and dirt bikes. He was an avid NASCAR and New England Patriots fan and enjoyed all sports. He was also a self-proclaimed “professional TV watcher” who enjoyed Westerns and rock & roll music.

He adored long drives, sightseeing, and boat rides with Kyong, and especially treasured family cookouts and gatherings at his daughters’ homes. You could often find him smiling quietly, soaking in the joy of his loved ones—sometimes laughing to himself when he thought no one was looking.

Ken ran a family business, Clark & Son Construction, with his father after moving his family back to New Hampshire from Iowa. Later, he started his own business—Ken’s Excavating—in Penacook, NH, where he continued his work as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver with pride and integrity.

Above all, Ken loved deeply. He found joy in simple things, and his heart was rooted in family, friendship, and the freedom to live life his own way. He shared a special bond with his best friend, Joe Linehan, and always cherished their time together.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, Irvin A. Clark Sr. and Doneta D. Clark; his grandparents, Emma and Allen Moss, and Edna and Ulysses “Babe” Clark.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit lives on in the memories we hold, the stories we share, and the love that continues to guide us.

You rest in the arms of angels,

In a place of peace and love,

Watching over us always,

From heaven up above.

You guide us through our worries,

And help us through each day,

Always by our sides—

You never went away.

The bond cannot be broken,

Made from love so pure,

Death does not break the bond—

It lives on forevermore.

Free from illness and pain,

You wait for us again—

Until we meet once more

In heaven's sweet refrain.
