Klazina Sjoukje Roorda Ina was born on July 27, 1949 in Slootdorp, The Nederlands, she was the second oldest of ten children in a very unique family. A lover of life and laughter, her kindness, humbleness, and generous hospitality left a mark on all who came into contact with her. She constantly put others first and always saw the good in people. She had the ability to relate to people of any age and in all walks of life. She was caring and gentle, yet honest and to the point. Ina saw every day as a new adventure and a chance to learn something new. Teaching was her gift as well as her joy, whether it was with her first and second graders at the Mary Fisk School in Salem, NH or teaching ESL in the community. Ina had a passion for life and looked at each day as a gift from God. She found the strength through her deep faith in Christ to battle a 10 year illness with grace and dignity. She never complained but instead said, Sadness and trials of life are something to learn from, dont EVER let anything or anyone steal your joy! Ina quietly went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2007, and is reunited with her mother, sister and nephew. But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 Ina is survived by her husband Andrew of 33 years, her children and their spouses Nicole and Jim Henry , Niels and Nikki Roorda and her grandson Nekhi, as well as her father, Age Visser and brothers and sisters Janneke, Sieger, Geerling, Eveline, Jifke, Albert, Age, and Onno living in The Nederlands and Norway.
