Lacy Eugene Long was born in Oklahoma City, OK on December 24, 1948 and

died unexpectedly the morning of December 28th, 2025 at age 77. He was raised in Hopkinsville, KY, graduating high school in 1966. He went to the local community college earning an associate's degree and went on to radio broadcasting school in Atlanta, GA. He moved to Manchester, NH in 1975 and married his partner, Wayland Bunnell in 2016. They recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.

He developed a life-long passion for movies and theater and was an active member of Hopkinsville's Pennyrile Players. In New Hampshire he was a very active member of The Community Players of Concord, NH for 44 years. He was also an artistic painter and moved on to outstanding theater set painting and was active with other theater groups notably The New Thalian Players of Manchester.

Lacy was famous for his warmth, humor and generosity. For his first 16 years here, he worked at Sears & Roebuck and then started a theater memorabilia business, first through collector shows and lists, then via eBay.

He is survived by his spouse, and several first and second cousins. He was pre-deceased by his mother Shirley Cunningham Long in 2007.

While he requested no services or cemetery burial, at some later date, there will be an Evening of Remembrance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Community Players of Concord, NH, PO Box 681, Concord, NH, 03302.
