Larry Jones, 62, of Manchester, NH died November 22, 2006 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Born on August 20, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of the late Jasper and Ella (Brown) Jones. He was raised and educated in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He had worked for Sanders Associates in Nashua for several years before becoming disabled. Mr. Jones served in the Air Force from 1964 to 1967 during the Vietnam Era. In his younger years, Larry enjoyed racing cars and parachuting. He also loved to go hunting, fishing, target shooting, skiing, camping and his passion in life was motorcycles. He enjoyed riding up to this past summer. Larry was a member of the American Legion, NHMRO, Deerhead in Hooksett, the DAV, volunteer fireman for the Town of Weare Fire Department and the Getaway Club in Manchester, where he spent many hours. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Teri (Aptt) Jones of Manchester, NH, his father in-law and mother in-law, Ken and Willa Aptt of Gloucester, brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Kenny Aptt and Roberta Sutherland of Gloucester and Barbara and Michael Aptt of Gloucester, his nephews, Travis Aptt, Derek Appt, Dylan Aptt and Danny Dekant, niece and his close friends and extended family at the Getaway. He was predeceased by his son Todd Jones. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH on Saturday, Dec 2nd from 3 to 7PM. There is no funeral service. Burial will take place at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen at the convenience of the family. A Reception will be held at the Getaway following the calling hours.
