Laura Maxine Cretelle

Laura M. Cretelle, 81 passed away Thursday Dec. 1, 2011 at her home. She was born in Ashuelot, NH July 11, 1930 the daughter of Frederick and Lillian Smart. In 1948 she was married to Ralph A. Cretelle, Jr. and together with her husband operated Mom and Pop markets including Mac's Grocery in Brattleboro. Laura loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed flowers and bird watching.
She is survived by her two sons, Kerry and his wife Maureen, and Kevin, her two daughters, Kim Jacques and her husband Richard, Kathi Winter and her husband Tom; her brother Lincoln Smart and her 2 sisters Helen Boudreau and Sonja Waite. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and her special devoted granddaughter, Danielle.
Besides her parents Laura was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Ralph in 2006, her son Keith in 2006 and one Grand Son, Travis in 1995 and three brothers, Francis, Roland and Richard.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home, 57 High St. Brattleboro with the Very Rev. Richard O'Donnell, V.F., pastor, St. Michael's Catholic Church officiating.
Graveside committal services and interment will follow in Meeting House Cemetery
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
