Laura Y. (Allard) Kula, 87, of 404 Cypress Street, died December 4, 2003, at the Elliot Hospital. She was born in Manchester, NH on July 28, 1916, the daughter of Oliva and Jeannette (Paquin) Allard and had been a lifelong resident of this area. She worked as a drapery consultant for Montgomery Ward until her retirement and had previously worked for Grants and Mammoth Mills. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is the widow of Walter J. Kula, Sr., who died in 1993. Family members include three sons; Donald R. Kula of Manchester, Retired Col. James D. Kula, USAF of Arizona and Chief Master Sargent Walter J. Kula, Jr., USAF stationed in Oklahoma; five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 O'Clock in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Entombment will follow in Mount Calvary Mausoleum.
