Lauren Mercedes Shea, 26, of Manchester, passed away on February 13, 2011 at Catholic Medical Center.
She was born in Manchester on April 24, 1984, the daughter of Stephen and Donnis (Kostek) Shea and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated from Manchester High School Central and attended the University of New Hampshire at Manchester. For the past six years, she had been employed by the City of Manchester, Department of Aviation at Manchester Boston Regional Airport as a Communications/Operations Specialist.
In her life: Family members include her parents of Manchester; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Claire (Grenier) Shea of Manchester; her significant other, Derek Tower of Manchester; two uncles, two aunts and two cousins. Lauren loved her parents, Derek and his son Adam. She truly enjoyed her work and her co-workers. She loved baking, cooking and animals. She was an avid member of the Manchester Animal Shelter. Lauren will be dearly missed and meant the world to so many people. God saw how tired she was getting and took her hand and brought her home.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester.
