Laurette B. (Pepin) Bilodeau, 77, of Manchester passed away at the Elliot Hospital on February 25, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
She was born in St. Ludger, PQ Canada on December 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Archelas and Rose Anna (Beaudoin) Pepin. Laurette was very family oriented and loved spending time with her large, extended family, especially her two granddaughters. In 1968, Laurette and Gilles moved to the United States, taught themselves to speak, read and write English and created a beautiful, loving and happy home for their daughters. She was very proud of her French Canadian heritage, loved to cook, shop â she was known to frequent Macy's and Fresh Market, and go to the beach.
Family members include her husband of 57 years, Gilles Bilodeau; three daughters, Josee Bilodeau of Goffstown, Francine Bilodeau and her husband Robert Paquin, Jr. of Manchester, and Anne Bilodeau of Goffstown; two granddaughters, Olivia and Gabriella. Siblings include Jeanine (the late Benoit Therrien), Jean-Louis (Andree Bolduc), Germain (Noelline Fortier) et Rejeanne (Renald Letourneau). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she simply adored.
She was predeceased by Simone (Albert Trudel), Germaine (Bernadin Begin), Gilberte (Louis-Philippe Lapierre), Patrick (surviving spouse Suzanne Therrien), Bertrand (Carmel Droyon), Berchmans (surviving spouse Claire Hamel).
A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Friday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM in St. Catherine Church.
