Laurette Eveline (Prince) Dupont, 86, of 276 Alsace Street died April 16 at her home following a long illness. She was the widow of former Hillsborough County Commissioner Germain P. Dupont who died in 1963. She was born May 19, 1919 in Manchester the daughter of Albert and Eglantine (Allard) Prince. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Parish in Manchester, and devoted herself to raising a family of five children while remembering with great affection her deceased husband Germain P. Dupont. She lived 40 years across the street from Dupont Pool, the Citys memorial to his many years of public service. In later years, Mrs. Dupont worked at Pandora Factory Store and Burlington Coat in Manchester. She will be lovingly remembered by her five children and their spouces; sons, Richard and Laurie Dupont of Key Largo, FL, Gerald and Bernadette Dupont of Manchester; daughters, Judith and John Laplante of Portland, ME, Suzanne and Paul Martin of Manchester, and Denise and William Cunningham of Gilford. She is survived by two sisters, Juliette (Prince) Pepin of Manchester, and Marie (Prince) Browher of Meredith. Mrs. Dupont leaves 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren, her youngest great grandchild was born on the eve of her death and named in her memory, Gracie Eveline Morrison. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Rachel (Prince) Rousseau, and her three brothers, Germain Prince, Roland Prince and Lucien Prince, all formerly of Manchester. At the request of Mrs. Dupont, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 am, at the Parish of the Transfiguration (formerly St. John the Baptist Church), 305 Kelley St., Manchester, NH. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to New Horizons of NH, 199 Manchester St., Manchester, NH 03103.
