Laurette A. (Leblanc) Remillard, 74 of Camelot Drive, Bedford, devoted wife and loving mother, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on March 31, 2000 after a lengthy illness. Born in Manchester on June 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Rosaire and Isabella (Crete) Leblanc. She resided in Bedford for the past 28 years. She graduated from Manchester West High School and attended the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. Mrs. Remillard worked for many years at the Notre Dame Hospital before becoming co-owner of R&L Realty in 1964. She retired from her active business life in 1998. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church where she was a member of the Women's Guild and served as Eucharist Minister and CCD teacher, preparing children for their First Communion. In addition, Mrs. Remillard was a member of the Little Rose Society, a frequent visitor of nursing homes and a sponsor of eleven seminarians preparing for the priesthood. She was also and avid traveler. Family members include her devoted husband of 53 years, Robert J. Remillard of Bedford; a son Richard P. Remillard of Manchester; a daughter Dianne Iller of Manchester; three brothers, Henry Leblanc of Lakeville, MA, Robert Leblanc of Dunbarton and Maurice Leblanc of Manchester; one sister, Priscilla (Leblanc) Carignan of Manchester; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 8 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church.
