Laurette T. Thibeault

Laurette T. Thibeault, 91, of Boscawen passed away peacefully Thursday, January 4, 2024.

Laurette was born in Nashua, NH August 12, 1932, to Emil and Amanda (Godin) Simard, and she was educated in area schools. Her employment included The Giant Store and Merrimack County Nursing Home, but she was first and foremost a homemaker, lovingly tending to her home and family.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, reading, and watching cooking shows, and in her younger years, spent countless hours snowmobiling with friends and family. She also loved to watch the hummingbirds who frequented her feeders. Everyone was welcome at Laurette’s table, and anyone who turned up around dinner time sat down to join a delicious meal. Laurette was also dedicated to her beloved dogs, especially Donny and Holly.

Laurette is survived by her children, Diana Raymond and husband John, Roland Thibeault Jr and wife Debbie, Leon Thibeault and wife Cathy, and Jim Thibeault and wife Veronica; grandchildren, Aaron Thibeault, Geoff Thibeault and girlfriend Brandy, Zach Thibeault, Kayleen Dould and husband Chris, Mark Raymond, and Sara Thibeault; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Pauline Dufoe and husband Earl, and Rita Tessier and husband Paul. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Roland Thibeault Sr., her son Michael Thibeault, and her sister Leona LaRoche.

The family will receive visitors at 1:00pm Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Memorial Service will begin at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local SPCA.
