Lawrence John Caron

February 7, 1958 — July 17, 2025

Manchester

Lawrence John Caron, age 67, of Manchester, NH, passed away on July 17th, 2025, succumbing to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and a life well-lived with purpose and heart.

Born in Salem, MA in 1958 to Joe and Elaine Caron, Larry became a man whose hands were always busy and whose heart was always open. A talented handyman by trade and by soul, he found deep joy in solving problems, tinkering, and helping others—whether it was a creaky floorboard, a sputtering engine, or someone’s spirit on a hard day, Larry was always willing to stop and assist anyone.

Larry had a special kind of magic: the ability to make people feel at ease, whether through a helping hand or one of his signature jokes. His humor was quick, sometimes corny and perhaps a little “colorful”, but always delivered with warmth. He didn’t need a stage or a spotlight; he was happy taking the background and would quietly navigate himself around to be helpful and supportive sometimes without us even realizing it.

Motorcycles were one of Larry’s greatest joys. There was something about the open road, the hum of the engine, and the wind on his face that made him feel alive. Riding wasn’t just a hobby; it was a reminder to take each day as it comes and find beauty in the journey.

More than his tools or his bike, Larry’s most enduring gift was his generosity. He was the neighbor who showed up before you asked, the friend who stayed until the job was done, and the kind of man whose presence simply made things feel steadier. He gave freely of his time, his talents, and his heart—never expecting anything in return.

As we say goodbye, we hold tight to the sound of his laughter, the sight of him on his bike riding into the sunset, and the many ways he made the world a little brighter, one fix, one favor, and one joke at a time. Ride on, Larry. You fixed so much in this world—now may you rest, with the wind at your back and peace in your soul. You’re loved and missed dearly.

Larry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet Caron, his son, Scott & Megan (Colby-Caron) Caron, his daughter, Nichole (Caron) & Craig Masi, his granddaughters, Aurora Caron, Anastasia Masi, and Abigail Masi, his grandson, Oban Caron, his siblings Annette (Caron) & Gary Pelletier, David & Linda Caron, and Jim & Karen Caron, with numerous nieces and nephews all of whom carry with them the lessons he taught not with lectures, but with his life: to be helpful, humble, honest, and never too serious to share a laugh.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th, 2025 from 4-6pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home located at 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH 03104. In honor of Larry’s spirit, we invite attendees to come as they are, jeans encouraged, to share a story, a smile, or a joke in his memory.
