Lawrence Larry C. Vachon, 79, of 24 Allied Street, Manchester, died September 2, 2004, at Catholic Medical Center.<br><br>He was born in Berlin, NH on August 9, 1925, the son of the late Mathias and Alice (Lebreton) Vachon and was a resident of Manchester since 1972. He was a graduate of Berlin High School, Larry was an active member of St. Pius X Church. He was a W.W. II Navy Veteran and belonged to the League of 1000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood and the Knights of Columbus. Prior to his retirement he worked many years as a regional supervisor at F.W. Woolworth Company. He loved people, gardening and nature.<br><br>Family members include his wife of 52 years, Louise Vachon of Manchester, a son, Mark Vachon of Manchester, two daughters; Lauren Thorn of Manchester and Jocelyn Thurston of East Orleans, Ma., five grandchildren, a brother, Donald Vachon of Davenport, Florida, a sister, Jeannette Torick of Berlin, NH several nieces.<br><br>IN HIS LIFE: Mr. Vachons family was the love of his life and he enjoyed his five grandchildren; Amy Vachon of Manchester, Alison Chatwin of Norfolk, Virginia, Hilary Vachon of Winchester, Tennessee, Brian Thorn of Manchester and Ben Miller of East Orleans, Massachusetts. <br><br>There will be no calling hours.<br><br>SERVICES: Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 oclock in St. Pius X Church. Entombment will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery.<br><br>Donations may be made in his memory to St. Pius X Church Debt Reduction Fund, 575 Candia Road, Manchester, NH 03109 .
