LAWRENCE J. VIOLETTE
MANCHESTER â Lawrence J. Violette, 65, died on Monday, August 6, 2012, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Hospice House, in Concord.
Mr. Violette was born in Augusta, ME, on November 5, 1946, the son of the late Rauol and Mella (Fortin) Violette. He was a resident of Manchester for most of his life.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Violette worked in manufacturing, at various local companies. He retired last May from Felton Brush Company.
Mr. Violette enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. He also liked playing cards and billiards. Mr. Violette loved to fix things and was very outgoing with everyone.
He was a lifetime member of the Alpine Club and the Workman's Club. Mr. Violette also belonged to the VFW.
Members of his family include; his wife of 45 years, Nancy (Daniels) Violette, of Manchester; one son, Lawrence J. Violette, Jr., of Manchester; three daughters, Tammy Proulx, Diane Violette and Kimberly Monnelly, all of Manchester; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Victor Violette, of Derry, NH; two sisters, Linda Lamontagne, of Manchester; Pamela Blanchette, of Allenstown; several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, August 9, from 5:00 â 8:00 PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will be held on Friday, 9:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Manchester.
