Lea A. Paquette, 92, of Manchester, NH, passed away on February 9, 2024 at Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester, NH. She was born in Manchester on September 2, 1931 to Leo and Agnes (Gelinas) Thibodeau. She graduated from Saint Anthony Grammar and High Schools and attended Notre Dame College. In her youth she worked for her parents at the Crème Freez then became a Dental Assistant. When her children were born she was an at home mother.

A communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish and as a Ladies Guild member, she was active in parish affairs. She was a member of the choir and a Eucharistic Minister. She was a volunteer at the Diocesan Museum for several years. Up until her recent declining health, she was a dedicated parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Parish.

Her hobby was quilling, and she belonged to Our Lady’s Rosary Makers for foreign missions.

She was predeceased by her son Marc Paquette in 2015.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years Maurice “Moe” Paquette of Manchester; her daughter Ellen “Chickee” Boudreau and her husband David Boudreau of Manchester; her grandson David Boudreau Jr. of Manchester, Samantha Cooper, who Lea considered to be like a granddaughter; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday February 15, 2024 from 1 pm – 3 pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium located at 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 16, 2024 at 10 am at St. Anthony Parish located at 172 Belmont St. Manchester, NH. Burial will be held privately at the family’s convenience.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
