LEE JEANINE (ARNOLD) ROBAR
LITTLETON, NH Lee Jeanine Robar, age 76, formerly of Oak Hill Avenue, passed away at the Lafayette Center in Franconia, NH on March 2, 2007 following a stroke.
Lee was born in Bellevue, KY on January 17, 1931, a daughter to Col. Charles Edward and Eva Ruth (Holtz) Arnold.
At 10 years of age, Lee and her family were evacuated from Hawaii following the attack on Pearl Harbor, where her father was stationed in the U.S. Army. She graduated from high school in 1949 in New Albany, IN. A Veteran of the Korean War, Lee enlisted in the WACs as a Cryptologist from 1949 to 1952. She moved to Lancaster, NH in July 1952 where she was married and raised her family. Lee received her LPN from Berlin Technical School in 1982 and was employed at Weeks Hospital in Lancaster as well as the Berlin Convalescent Center in Barre, VT.
Lee was a devoted mother. She enjoyed quilting, crafts and was an avid genealogist. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, most recently a member of the Lyndon Ward.
Lee is survived by her three children, Dianne (Merrow) Laflamme and husband, Leslie, of Littleton, NH, Jeffrey Merrow and wife, Mary (Considine), of Cincinnati, OH, and Christopher Merrow and wife, Judie (Spray), of San Clemente, CA. Her parents and sister, Evanne, predeceased her.
SERVICES Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Glenwood Cemetery.
