Leo Paul Belanger Derry, NH Age 55 of Derry, died peacefully Friday March 10th at his home, following a long battle with cancer, with his family by his side. He was born on September 22, 1950 in Wallagrass, ME the son of Augustin and Yvette (Lamarre) Belanger. He was raised and educated in Fort Kent, ME. He had attended S.M.V.T.I. and had also earned his Associates Degree in Accounting from Hesser College Summa Cum Laude. He was the owner of Paul Belanger Construction in Derry for many years. He had most recently worked for the Derry School District. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. An excellent athlete, he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ginette (Gauvin) Belanger of Derry. 3 daughters; Kim Belanger of Burlington, MA., Ginger Simonds of Manchester and Krystle Belanger of Derry. 3 brothers; Herman Belanger of Presque Isle, ME., Bill Belanger of Londonderry and Melvin Belanger of Soldier Pond, ME. 2 sisters; Rolande LaMarche of Elsworth, ME. And Miriam Bard of Leeds, ME. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Calling hours are Sunday March 12th from 5-8PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematory 243 Hanover Street Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 13th at 10AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish 26 Crystal Avenue Derry.
