Leo A. Courtois, 76, of 76 Champlain Street, died March 11, 2004 at Hanover Hill Health Care Center. He was born in Manchester on February 1, 1928, the son of Albert and Lucienne (Poliquin) Courtois and had been a lifelong resident of the City. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He had worked in maintenance all of his life for a number of local companies including Genest Bakery, Allen Bradley and the Yield House. He was the widower of Marceline (Andrews) Courtois who died in 2000 and was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church. Family members include his sister, Antoinette R. Wheeler of Manchester; four nieces and several cousins. In His Life: He enjoyed spending time with his cat kitty whom he rescued from a tree 12 years ago and who became is faithful companion. Although he had no children, he considered his four nieces his close family. They include Betty Fortin, who was also his caregiver, Elaine Paul, Annette Morse and Pauline Nicholaides. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 in St. Patrick Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
