Leo A. Desrosiers

Leo A. Desrosiers passed away peacefully after a period of declining health, on January 12, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side at the age of 81.

He was born in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Albert & Lucille (Bazin) Desrosiers. He graduated from Bishop Bradley HS in 1961. Leo joined the Army in 1962 and served with the 503rd Infantry until his Honorable Discharge in 1964. He belonged to the Precious Blood Legion of One Thousand Men and the American Legion Post 2.

Throughout his life he was a truck driver and he retired from JWM Inc. at Rockingham Race Track in Salem, NH. In his retirement he worked for the Senior Center Meal-on-Wheels.

He was a gentle, generous, and soft-spoken man who loved to be in his garage with many friends and family who mingled by the wood stove, where stories were told and filled with laughter. Fishing was also a passion of his.

Leo is survived by his second wife, Donna (Pinard) Desrosiers of Manchester; his sons, Ronald F. Desrosiers and wife Debra of Auburn and Donald E. Desrosiers and his wife Tracy Lynn of Manchester; step-sons, Raymond Pinard and his wife Charon of Concord, Robert Pinard and his wife Cheryl of Manchester, Marc Pinard and his wife Carol of Philadelphia, PA; step-daughters, Christine Barss and her husband Lloyd of Littleton, Lisa Vaal and her husband Jim of Manchester, Debra Rehm and her husband Tim of Allentown, PA and Susan Demanche and her husband Marc of Candia; grandchildren, Alex Desrosiers and wife Sarah, Jesse, Julia and Alexis; 18 step-grandchildren and 13 step great- grandchildren; his sisters, Pauline Demanche of Pembroke, Ruth Shea of Franklin, Loraine Haley, Diane Proulx and Susie Desrosiers of Manchester; brothers, Henry and Raymond Desrosiers of Manchester and Emile Desrosiers of Merrimack; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Madeline (Senechal) in 1981, son Norman in 1992, and sisters Claire and Irene.

Due to the COVID Pandemic, services will be postponed until a later date.
