Leo A. Fournier, Sr., 88, formerly of Manchester and currently of Port Charlotte, FL died April 3, 2001 at Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte. He was born in Lowell, MA on August 8, 1912, the son of Albert and Eugenie (Pelletier) Fournier. He lived in Manchester for over fifty years and had been a Florida resident since 1975. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and had been a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jeanne (Gagne) Fournier who died in 1990. Family members include his wife of ten years, Mary (Mae) Elizabeth (Schrieber) (Miraglia) Fournier; a son Leo A. Fournier, Jr., of Hudson; a daughter, Blanche Slattery of Port Charlotte, FL; a stepson, Joseph Miraglia of Punta Gorda, FL; a stepdaughter, Angela West of Port Charlotte, FL; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Fournier of Bear, DE and Raymond Fournier of Austin, TX; three sisters, Bertha Laplante of Manchester, Yvonne Boylan of Sandwich, MA and Theresa Doherty of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours are at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave. on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11:00 in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
