Leo J. Martineau, 82, of 6 Marcel Way, Hooksett and formerly of 394 Manchester Street, died January 31, 2002, at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Quincy, Ma., on April 5, 1919, the son of Aime and Laura (Perron) Martineau and had been a resident of this area for most of his life. He was a W.W. II Navy Veteran and affiliated with Iowa Jima and Sea Bees. Mr. Martineau worked for over 30 years with Chicopee Mills and retired from Kalwall Corp. after 13 years of service. Leo was a member of the American Legion Post # 79 and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a parishioner of St. Augustin Church. He was the widower of Lillian (Janelle) Martineau who died in 1993. Family members include four sons, Marcel Martineau of Upland, CA., Paul Martineau of Hooksett, Philip Martineau and Henry Martineau, both of Manchester, two daughters, Mrs. John (Laura) Czarnosz of Manchester and Mrs. David (Louise) Gustafson of Dunbarton, 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a half brother Roger Martineau of Suffern, New York, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Augustin Church. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
