Leo A. Vaillancourt

Leo A. Vaillancourt, 79, of Manchester, died July 26, 2001, in Elliot Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Nashua, NH on September 25, 1921, the son of the late Arthur and Marie Ange (Michaud) Vaillancourt. He was a hairdresser and owned Mr. Leo's Hanover Hill Beauty Shop. Mr. Vaillancourt was a WW II Army Veteran. He loved gardening and traveling. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 79, the Veteran of Foreign Wars # 8214 and a parishioner of St. Joseph Cathedral. Family members include his wife of 49 ½ years Helen (Doumas) Vaillancourt of Manchester, his sister-in-law, Irene Skarlos of Manchester, a niece Rhea Boisvert of Manchester, three nephews, Nicholas Skarlos of Manchester, Steve Doumas of Raymond and David Doumas of Manchester, several cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Sunday from 5 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock in St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Home Hospice, 1850 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104
