Mr. Leon Delisle, 80, of Manchester, NH died March 6, 2007 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester at a brief illness. He was born on June 1, 1926 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Arthur and Mary Jane (Gagnon) Delisle. He was educated in Manchester and graduated from Sacred Heart. Mr. Delisle was a lifelong resident of Manchester. During World War II he served in the US Navy. He worked as a salesman for Humpty Dumpty for many years before he retired. Mr. Delisle enjoyed playing golf and watching auto racing. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving family members include his wife of 59 years, Rosamond (Talbot) Delisle of Manchester; his 6 children, Gerald Delisle of Manhattan, Roger Delisle of Manchester, Vivian Poire of Auburn, Maurice Delisle of Venice, FL, Pauline Delisle of Concord and Michael Delisle of Hooksett; brother, Robert Delisle of Moreno Valley, CA; sister, Therese Turcotte of San Bernardino, CA; 15 grandchildren and 9 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH on Thursday from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1 PM at St. Patrick Church. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
