DALTON, NH Leonard O. Carbonneau, 91, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the Lafayette Center in Franconia.
Leonard was born a son to Oswald and Mary (Audibert) Carbonneau on July 1, 1912 in Littleton, NH. He attended area schools.
Leonard served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was employed as a meat cutter at various stores in Gilman, VT and the Littleton area including Magoons. He was a member of the American Legion in Gilman, VT, The Dalton Grange, the Dalton Historical Society, the Dalton Senior Center, and the Dalton Old Home Day Committee. Leonard served on School Boards and formed a Boys Club and Basketball Team.
Surviving family members include three daughters, Linda Baker of Holderness, Margaret and her husband, John Pilgrim of Littleton, Paula and her husband, Butch Thompson of Littleton; one brother, Clyde Carbonneau of Lakeport, CA; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His wife, Dorothy Carbonneau predeceased him on April 26, 2001, as well as five brothers, two sisters, one son-in-law, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.
SERVICES The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 5th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church on Wednesday, May 5th at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Joseph Klatka as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Wheeler Hill Cemetery in Littleton. A reception will follow immediately after the graveside service at Leonards residence at 23 Dalton Road, Dalton, NH. All are welcome.
