It is with fond rememberance that we announce the passing of Leonard M. Cassamassino, Sr., a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather, who left this world on October 5, 2023, at the age of 78.
Leonard Sr. was born on February 10, 1945, and grew up to become a man who was dedicated to his family and served his country with honor and courage as part of the army during the Vietnam War. He was humble about, but proud of, his dedication to protecting the freedoms we hold dear, and his sacrifices will always be remembered and appreciated.
On September 5, 1970, he embarked on a lifelong journey of love and partnership when he married the love of his life, Cassandra Tolimieri Cassamassino. Their enduring love and commitment to each other served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Leonard Sr. provided guidance and support to his two sons, Leonard Cassamassino, Jr. and Steven Cassamassino, whom he watched proudly as they grew into responsible and caring husbands and fathers themselves. He cherished his role as "Grandpa" to four wonderful grandchildren - Madison, Noah, Nathaniel, and Evan, filling their lives with love, wisdom, and unforgettable memories.
Leonard Sr. had the good fortune of enjoying a long life of retirement with his wife, Sandy. They spent time traveling, visiting family and friends along the way. Leonard was an avid hunter and fisherman, and the serenity of nature provided him with moments of peace and joy.
Leonard’s warm smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Although he may have left this earthly realm, his legacy of love and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
There will be no service at this time.
