Leonard D. Emond, MD

Leonard D. Emond, MD, 93, of Goffstown, NH died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH.  

Dr. Emond was born on August 20, 1928, in Greenville, NH, the son of the late Charles D. and Albina (Boulay) Emond.  

Prior to his retirement, Dr. Emond was an Orthopedic surgeon and practiced in Manchester, NH.

Dr. Emond was a communicant of St. Catherine of Sienna Church, in Manchester, NH.  

He was a member and past president of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians and functions as a founding member.

Dr. Emond was a member of multiple choruses though out the state and enjoyed singing opera. He enjoyed mountain climbing and was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, the NH 4,000 Foot Club and was one of the founding members of the Manhattan Hiking Club.

Members of his family include; his son, Christopher Emond Daughter In-Law Wendy Emond and Grand-sons Wyatt & Toby of Palmer, AK; He was predeceased by his wife, Julienne M. Emond who died in August 2021 and by two sons, Marc D. Emond and James A. Emond.    

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, 10:00AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 207 Hemlock Street, in Manchester. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Greenville, NH.   

Donations can be made to Monadnock Chorus in memory of Dr. Emond.
