Leonne J. (Chauvin) Blanchette, 86, of 200 Boynton Street, died June 3, 2002 at Harborside Healthcare in Bedford. She was born in the Province of Quebec, Canada on March 19, 1916, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Lavigne) Chauvin and had been a Manchester resident for most of her life. She had worked in local textile mills earlier in her career. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Coeur Joyeux of the Church. She belonged to the AARP and the Bedford Seniors. Family members include her husband of 63 years, Roland Blanchette; three sons, Gerald Blanchette of Bedford, Norman Blanchette of Hooksett and Dennis Blanchette of Goffstown; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Chauvin of Manchester and Roy Chauvin of Goffstown; two sisters, Anita Dupont of Goffstown and Sr. Denise Chauvin, PM of Taunton, MA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:00 in Sacred Heart Church. Urn burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory for Masses at Sacred Heart Church, 265 St. Main Street, Manchester, NH 03102.
