Leslie J. Fleming, 74, of Candia, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at her home in Candia.

Born on March 31, 1952, in Waltham, Massachusetts, Leslie was the daughter of the late Paul and Barbara (Troup) Emmetts. She grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts, before making her home in Candia, New Hampshire, with her husband Paul, where together they raised their family. After dedicating herself to her children, Leslie found her calling as a teacher in the Nottingham School District, where she positively impacted countless young lives until her retirement. She cherished the friendships she made with colleagues and the joy of nurturing her students.

Leslie was, above all, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Retirement allowed her to fully embrace her role as “Grammy Poof” to her beloved grandchildren. Whether cheering from the sidelines at their sporting events, enjoying breakfast at Tuckers, sharing a movie, or simply splashing in the pool with Isabella, Emmett, Hadleigh, Clara and Charlotte (the “Grands”), were the center of her world. She instilled in them a love of family and a sense of fun that will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Paul J. Fleming, of Candia; her sons, Sean Fleming and his wife Jessica, of Hooksett, NH and their children Isabella, Hadleigh, and Charlotte; and Brian Fleming and his wife Lyndsey, of Epping, NH and their children Emmett and Clara; her brother, William “Uncle B” Emmetts and his wife Lesli, of Mount Juliet, TN and their son Tyler; and her nephew Jake and his wife Norah, of Hull, MA and their children Emily and Abby. Leslie was predeceased by cherished friends (more like family), Doris Lupien and Marcia McGee. We find comfort imagining her joyful reunion with them both and the laughs they must have shared.

The family will forever cherish her presence, guidance, and unconditional love she provided to them.

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. The memorial service will consist of the paying of respects along with a brief service.
