LILIANE JACQUELINE (LEGUEN) BRUMMER

LITTLETON, NH -- Liliane Jacqueline (LeGuen) Brummer died at Spaulding Hospital in Salem, MA on November, 26, 2012. After many rallies, Mrs. Brummer died peacefully due to respiratory failure with family by her side. She went into God's loving arms and joined her husband George, who died in 1973, and her son, Michel, who died in 1980.

Liliane LeGuen was born in Aubervilliers, France on January 29, 1928; the third child of Elise (Pierret) and Eugene LeGuen. She graduated from high school in France at the age of 16 and worked in the Dept. of Agriculture. Following WWII, she moved to America, learned English, and met her future husband, George Brummer in church in 1946. They married in 1947, and had their first of nine children in 1948. Mrs. Brummer was a homemaker until her husband died suddenly in January, 1973. Mrs. Brummer then went back to school and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in education and taught French in High School. Mrs. Brummer then began working for the State of NH, Dept. of Welfare, where she remained until her retirement in 1995.

Mrs. Brummer loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was kind and gentle and gave unconditional love throughout her life. Her unending ability to share her knowledge will be missed, as her intelligence and worldliness knew no bounds.

Mrs. Brummer leaves behind her children, George Brummer (Florida); Anne-Marie Brummer (North Carolina); Jacqueline Fulford (Littleton, NH); Mark Brummer (Florida); Jennie Brummer (South Carolina); Kim Brummer (Bethlehem, NH); Janine Brummer (Massachusetts); and Nancy Clement (Landaff, NH). She also leaves her five grandchildren, Jennifer Fulford (Connecticut); Nicholas Fulford (Army); Patrick Brummer (Bethlehem, NH); and Jameson and Sydney Clement (Landaff, NH). Mrs. Brummer was predeceased by her husband, George Brummer (1973); Michel Brummer (1980); and her son-in-law Mark Fulford (2008).

"In lieu of flowers, donations in Liliane's memory can be made to Spaulding North Shore, Development Office, 1 Dove Avenue, Salem, MA, 01970 to support social workers."
