Lillian Mearns DeHart, 94, passed away on September 6, 2022, at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, New Hampshire.
Born in Wilmington, DE, Lillian was the daughter of George and Carrie (Bothwell) Mearns of Carneys Point, New Jersey. After graduating from Penns Grove Regional High School in 1945, she became a devoted wife and mother and lived a life of service. While she was a supporter of missionaries, Lillian volunteered as a scout leader, a Sunday school teacher and a teacher’s assistant at the Ambassador Christian Academy. She also enjoyed baking, reading and poetry.
Having had an abundant prayer life, Lillian was a member of the Faith Community Bible Church in Loudon, New Hampshire. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Bank Chapter. Those who have known her will remember her love and trust in the Lord.
Lillian was the beloved wife of James V. DeHart, Sr. for 60 year; cherished mother of James Jr. (Patricia), Daniel (Sharon) and the late John (Donna); loving grandmother of James III (Elizabeth), Joseph, Jessica, Thomas Sherf (Dawn), Kristina Matkowsky (Jason), Julia Stipa (Scott), Dana Allison, Daniel (Danielle), Caroline Bhatia (Manish), John DeHart Jr. (Melissa) and Meghan DeHart-Brown (Joshua) and the endearing great grandmother of 30. Other survivors are her brothers, Allison & Robert (Lori) Mearns.
Relatives and friends are invited to her services at Faith Community Bible Church (FCBC) on Saturday morning, October 8th. Greeting time from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
