Lillian M. (Clement) Hamel, 92, formerly of 519 Bridge Street, died October 31, 2005 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home. She was born in Manchester on November 5, 1912, the daughter of Joseph and Bernadette (Lacroix) Clement. She was a graduate from Notre Dame School of Nursing, Class of 1933. She had worked for Notre Dame Hospital and was a practicing Registered Nurse for over sixty years. She has resided in California for 20 years, Florida for 15 years and moved back to New Hampshire in 1996 after the death of her husband, Edward Hamel, who died that same year. Family members include two sisters, Juliette Hamel or North Palm Beach, FL and Yvette McMahon of Manchester; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:30 in the Chapel of Mt. Carmel Nursing Home. The service will be officiated by her cousin, the Reverend Robert Boisvert. Urn burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
