LILLIAN H. RHEAULT MANCHESTER Lillian (Houde) Rheault, 87, died suddenly Friday, December 22, 2006 at Boston Medical Center, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her husband, Larrry Rheault, who died in 1985. Mrs. Rheault was born on December 14 1919, the daughter of the late Philemon and Marie (Montminy) Houde. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. She graduated from West High School. Mrs. Rheault was still a practicing cosmetologist since 1935, being the oldest in the state of New Hamphshire. She served in the NH legislative committee from 1989 1994. Mrs. Rheault was the Ward 12 Selectman for 20 years, from 1985- 2005. She received the Key to the City from Mayor Baines on November 15, 2005, and that day was proclaimed the Lillian I. Rheault Day in the City of Manchester. Mrs. Rheault volunteered at the City Hall Information Booth since its inception. She was a drummer and singer for the Houdes Family Orchestra formerly known as the Phil Houdes Orchestra in 1936. Mrs. Rheault was a longtime communicant of St. Patricks Church, in Manchester and was a member of the choir. Members of her family include; her daughter, Janice Thomas-Aubin, of Goffstown, NH; a son, David Rheault, of Manchester, 6 grandchildren, 1 step grandson, 3 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandson, 1 brother, Rudolphe Houde, of Manchester, 1 sister, Florence Allard, of Goffstown, and a long time companion of 20 years, Lionel Beaudet. SERVICES: Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 27, from 2:00 4:00 PM and 6:00 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Avenue, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 10 AM at St. Patrick Church, in Manchester. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester.
