Lillian C. (St. Onge) Roy, 91, of Goffstown, died Saturday March 14, 2009 at the Elliot Hospital following a short illness
She was born in Manchester, NH on July 23, 1917 the daughter of the late Wilfrid and Leonie (Prince) St. Onge. Mrs. Roy went to school at the Stark School on North River Road and St. Joseph School for Girls. She was lifelong resident of the Goffstown/Manchester area.
Mrs. Roy worked at Pandora for many years before she retired.
Mrs. Roy was a parishioner of the former St. Edmond Church and later at Parish of the Transfiguration.
She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Lillian enjoyed tending to her flower garden and cooking.
She is survived by her two sons, Leo Roy of Goffstown and Antonio âTonyâ? Roy Jr. of Goffstown, NH, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio J. Roy Sr. who died November 14, 1994.
Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:30AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00AM at Parish of the Transfiguration, Alsace St, Manchester.
Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations in Lillianâs name can be made to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Activities Department, 400 Mast Road, Goffstown, NH 03045.The Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of the arrangements.
