LILLIAN G. SMITH
DALTON, NH -- Lillian G. Smith age 91 of Dalton, following a short stay at Country Village Health Care Center, passed away quietly on June 12, 2009 at Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster NH.
She was born in Hardwick VT, the daughter of Albert and Gertrude Marcou.
Lillian had lived in several parts of the country briefly, and had traveled in recent years with her family to many other states, but she best loved the view from the rocking chair on her front porch in Dalton.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Howard C. Smith. She also was predeceased by two sisters, Arietta and Irene, a sister-in-law, Jenny and their husbands, Charles Coles, George Smith and James Crowder respectively.
Lillian is survived by her son, Wayne A. Smith and his wife Nancy; one grandson, Bryant W. Smith and his wife Crystal; two great-granddaughters, Macee and Piper; a sister-in-law, Glenna Labounty, her husband Roland and son Stanley, along with nieces and nephews living mostly in the North Country of NH and the Northeast Kingdom of VT.
SERVICES A Calling hour will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home located at 101 Union Street in Littleton, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cushman Cemetery in Dalton.
