Lillian C. Smith

Lillian C. (Chaput) Smith, 91, formerly of 84 Varney St. died June 23, 2001 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford. She was born in Manchester on February 25, 1910, the daughter of Wilfred and Orise (Plourde) Chaput and had been a lifelong resident of the City. She worked as a stitcher in the textile industry for many years and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a parishioner of St. Jean the Baptist Church. Family memebers include her son, Robert Smith of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Mrs. Edmond (Lorraine) Neveu of Goffstown and Mrs. Doris Jacques of Manchester; thirteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a brother, Gerald Chaput of Hooksett and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Monday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. Jean the Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations
