LINA C. LAVALLEE MANCHESTER - Lina C. (Boulet) Lavallee, 91, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester after a long illness. Born on April 3, 1917, in Allenstown, NH, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Laura (Rouselle) Boulet. Raised in Allenstown, she attended St. John the Baptist School and graduated from Pembroke Academy. She resided in Boston, Massachusetts, for several years, but was a resident of Manchester for the past 55 years. At the time of her employment, she worked as a professional seamstress specializing in bridal attire. She was a sewing teacher at West High School and The Girls' Club in Manchester for several years. She was a member of the Amoskeag Quilter's Guild as well as The Navy Mother's Clubs of America, serving as its Commander of Club #236. She was a member of the Church Choir at St. Raphael's Parish for thirteen years and St. Marie's Parish for two years. Members of her family include; 2 daughters, Theresa P. Ellis of Manchester, NH; Mary Anne Young, of Rye, NH; one son, Robert Lavallee, deceased, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, July 18, from 8:30 – 9:30 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, 10 AM at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Avenue, in Manchester. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bedford.
